The cozy common areas, complete with comfortable seating, were ideal for unwinding after a day exploring the town. While I wouldn't categorize the hotel as luxury, the value proposition is strong. It delivers a clean and inviting atmosphere at a price that's quite reasonable compared to other accommodations. The staff were friendly, offering assistance whenever needed, and I appreciated the practicality of facilities like laundry services and luggage storage. If you're traveling with family or friends, the layout allows for some organized chaos with shared spaces-an unexpected plus during our stay. All said, Gamla Fängelse isn't about opulence; it's about experiencing a slice of Swedish history at a fair price. Definitely worth a look if you're keen on an authentic experience!
